Snag is built around one question — can this bug be fixed, and can we prove it? The same capture that fills the ticket feeds the agent, which reproduces the bug in a disposable copy of your repo, writes a repro test that fails before the fix and passes after, and opens a pull request for a human to review. Is Snag a drop-in replacement for Usersnap?
It depends on what you want the tool to hand back to you. The AI inside Usersnap is aimed at managing feedback at scale, with project summaries, categorization labels and replies, which is a product-research job rather than an engineering one. What Snag does is narrower on purpose: one capture carries the replay, the console and the network into Jira or GitHub, and a fix run then opens a pull request. If the work is understanding what customers want, these two products are not substitutes.
How does Snag's pricing compare to Usersnap's?
Usersnap publishes both rates, and its pricing toggle opens on monthly: Starter costs $59 per month when billed monthly, or $49 per month when billed yearly. The Snag price never counts seats: one flat workspace price covers capture, routing and MCP for unlimited people, and fix plans add a monthly pool of fix-runs on top. Where do the console logs end up?
This is the sharpest difference between the two, and it comes from Usersnap's own documentation: the console recorder's logs cannot be exported, and cannot be passed to integrations. In Snag, the console and the network are part of the ticket. They travel with it into Jira or GitHub, and the MCP server hands the same evidence to whichever coding agent you point at it.
What arrives at the end of a Snag fix run?
A pull request with three things on it: the diff, a repro test that fails before the fix and passes after, and the capture the run was working from. It is deliberately reviewable rather than finished — Nothing merges without a human — and the work behind it happened inside a disposable copy of your repo, destroyed when the run ends. If a run cannot get as far as a pull request it is charged at half, and the first 5 fixes on every plan are free.
