What Snag is built for is the engineer who has to fix it: a session replay with the console and the network, filed into Jira or GitHub, and then an agent that opens the pull request. We already point an AI tool at our bug tool. Does that change?

No, and this is the part most comparisons get wrong. Both products ship an MCP server. Their server connects your AI tool directly to the projects, tasks and client feedback held in BugHerd, and the Snag server hands out the replay, the console, the network and the repro steps. An MCP server is now normal in this category rather than a point of difference. What differs is the step after it: with Snag you do not have to connect an agent at all, because the built-in one reproduces the bug in a disposable copy of your repository and opens the pull request itself.

Can the Snag agent merge code into our repo on its own?

No. Every fix arrives as an ordinary pull request that a person reviews, approves and merges. Nothing merges without a human, and nothing reaches your live site without that approval. The agent works inside a private, disposable copy of the repository, which is destroyed when the run ends. The pull request carries the diff, the evidence the agent worked from, and a repro test that fails before the fix and passes after, so the review has something to check the claim against.
